Global electrical heterogeneity is associated with drug-induced torsades de pointes

Our collaborative paper with Dr. Waks's group was published in the Heart Rhythm Journal. We showed that Spatial Ventricular Gradient (SVG) azimuth is correlated with a history of drug-induced TdP independent of QTc. Adjusted SVG azimuth was the only variable associated with TdP history. GEH measurements may help identify patients at high risk for drug-induced arrhythmias.
